Diving into 2020!

We're almost done with the first week of January 2020, so how is everyone doing so far?

From what I can see so far on social media (because apparently that's how you can gauge people's lives now), 2020 has had a really rocky start.

Has anyone stuck to their New Year's Resolution thus far? Did you even make one? I didn't if you were wondering. I didn't have a reason to. Although generally, I think we can all try to live healthier lives this year so I'm trying to incorporate more vegetables into my diet. Here's hoping that will go well.

I'm back on the job search horse and thus far I am feeling disheartened. I'm trying my best not to but sometimes you can't help it. Like a dark cloud that descends before a storm, my hopes for finding work in the next month or so doesn't seem too bright. I, however, am thinking about taking up a course or something to keep myself occupied because I tend to slip into a bad place when my hands are idle. One needs to keep busy and I think I should change up this blog a bit. Nothing too serious but at least post some light stories or as journos would call them "fluff pieces". Who doesn't love a feel good story?

I have jumped into 2020 without a plan, looking at it as if it were a blank canvas that I can do with as I wish. Which reminds me, I would really love to paint more this year. I managed to knock out five paintings at the end of 2019, three of which were gifts.

I feel uncoordinated and am lacking direction at the moment, but I think it's imperative to stay optimistic. Like a Dory says, "Just keep swimming!"

I hope to write more this year, to tell more stories and to entertain the masses as best I can because there's too many bad things in this world and finding those little pockets of joy is what makes most of everything worthwhile.

Be kind to one another.
